Linda Lee Kavulick (Walters)

Linda L. (Kavulick) Walters, 61, of Dawson, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.

She was born Oct. 1, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Andrew C. and Loretta L. Lisbon Kavulick, of Dawson.

She was a member of the Banning Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 790 Auxiliary of Smithton. Linda lived and worked for many years in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Shaker Heights (Ohio) High School. She was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved all things concerning the outdoors.

She is survived by a son, Jacob J. Walters, at home. Linda is also survived by brothers, Andrew C., Ansen C. "Joe" and John E. Kavulick; two sisters, Louella L. (Kavulick) and her husband, Leonard Bujanowski, and Patty A. (Kavulick) Savol, of this area; a special nephew, Adam C. Kavulick, of Greensburg; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a niece, Tammi Jo Black.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Waas and his medical team and the staff on the third floor of Westmoreland Hospital, and the Mountain View staff in Latrobe.

A memorial service was held at a later date. Arrangements by L.L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Smithton. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
