Jay R. Bishko, 76, of Savannah, passed away at his home on Friday, October 17, 2025. He was born July 6, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Maurice (Lillian) Bishko.
He is survived by his wife Mickie Griffith, son Jack (Nicky) Bishko, daughter Emily (Mark) Radel, and many grandchildren.
He loved his wife fiercely. So much so that when life had other plans for her, he moved heaven and earth to make sure that she was going to be here to live on, even though life itself does end for everyone.
We are both saddened and joyful to share with you all Jay passed away peacefully, no longer in pain and whole again with our Maker. He'll be remembered by his love for his family and his love to debate… anything!! We will always have him in our hearts. He was so generous, forgiving and naive!! He always gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. He and his wife were able to express to each other, during his last few hours how much they enjoyed being together so many years.
He was strong in life, including his intellect, his determination, and his faith. He deeply touched those around him and, like the distant stars in the sky, his light will shine on long after death.
A graveside service was at 3;00 p.m. Sunday, October 19th, at Bonaventuure Cemetery. https://foxandweeks.com/obituaries/o/11206/Jay-R.-Bishko
